Brent G. Bailey, DDS
Dr. Bailey is a graduate of the University of Utah and Creighton University Dental School. He spent two years in Guatemala serving a mission with his church. After graduating, with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery, he moved to South Carolina where he began as an associate with our practice. Dr. Bailey continues to stay current in the dental community by participating in continuing education courses throughout the year. He is an active member of the ADA as well as the SCDA.
Dr Bailey takes great pride in offering family dental care and the most advanced treatments in cosmetic dentistry. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family. |

Matthew C. Watson, DMD
Dr Matthew Watson was raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey. After undergraduate studies at Temple University and Stockton College, he graduated dental school from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1994. Dr Watson maintains memberships in American Dental Association, SC Dental Association, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He holds completion certificates in Invisalign, Clear Correct and Tip Edge Orthodontics. Dr Watson has completed extensive continuing education hours in Implant Dentistry, Periodontal Surgery, Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry and Endodontics.
Outside of the office, Dr Watson enjoys offshore fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. Dr Watson is married to Katie and has 2 children, Tori and Hunter.

Dr Rick Clanton
Born in Hartsville, South Carolina, Dr Clanton graduated cum laude from Clemson University with a BS degree in Biology and from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine in 1975. He is a member of the Pee Dee Dental Society, the South Carolina Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Orthodontic Society, and Baptist Medical Dental Mission International. He is part president of the Pee Dee Dental Society, the Pee Dee Dental Study Club and presently serves on the South Carolina Peer Review Committee and the Dental Access Days Committee.
Dr Clanton practiced dentistry for thirty-five years in Latta, South Carolina prior to moving to Charleston in 2009 and becoming an associate at our practice in August 2010. He and his wife, Margaret Ann resides in Awendaw, and they have two daughters. Leah Clanton is an associate professor of internal medicine and hospitalist at MUSC and Meredith Bentley is a realtor with Carolina One in Mt Pleasant. The Clanton’s have twin grandsons, Aiden and Jackson Bentley.
Dr Clanton enjoys fishing, hunting, golf and motorcycling and also does part time mission work in Central America.
